Amphibian Stage Adds Performance of THE DING DONGS OR WHAT IS THE PENALTY IN PORTUGAL?, 12/2

Amphibian-Stage-Productions-Announces-Additional-Performance-of-THE-DING-DONGS-OR-WHAT-IS-THE-PENALTY-IN-PORTUGAL-20010101

Amphibian Stage Productions today announced that it would present a Sunday matinee on December 2 of the staged reading of The Ding Dongs or What Is the Penalty in Portugal? by Brenda Withers, in addition to the originally scheduled Monday evening performance on December 3. All of the plays featured in the company's staged reading series in 2013 will also have two performances.

Brenda Withers, the co-author with Mindy Kaling of Matt and Ben, which Amphibian presented in 2005, will also star in the reading, along with Amphibian Artistic Associate Jonathan Fielding and Brandon J. Murphy, who was featured in Amphibian's recent production of The True History of the Tragic Life and Triumphant Death of Julia Pastrana, the Ugliest Woman in the World.

When a sweet-faced couple shows up on a suburban doorstep, an unsuspecting homeowner finds himself the victim of a surreal home invasion. Using wit and wordplay to mask a more sinister threat, the couple wages a battle over indigenous rights from the living room, and we are asked to examine the brutality that fuels our system of private property.

The Ding Dongs or What Is the Penalty in Portugal? will be presented at Amphibian Stage Productions on Sunday, December 2 at 2 p.m. and on Monday, December 3 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $5 for students. To purchase tickets, theatergoers may call 817-923-3012, write to boxoffice@amphibianproductions.org, or visit www.amphibianproductions.org. Amphibian Stage Productions is located at 120 S. Main Street, Fort Worth, Texas.
