Casa Mañana Announces 2012 - 2013 Children's Theatre Season: RAPUNZEL!, WINNIE THE POOH and More

President and Executive Producer Wally Jones today announced the 2012 – 2013 Children's Theatre season presented by Community Bank. Season tickets go on sale Wednesday, July 11.

Casa Mañana's 2012 – 2013 Children's Theatre season features: The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, an exciting stage adaptation of the beloved novel, October 12 – 28, 2012; 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, a holiday musical celebration, November 24 – December 23, 2012; the enchanting new musical Rapunzel! Rapunzel! A Very Hairy Fairy Tale, February 8 – 24, 2013; a musical adventure with Winnie the Pooh and friends in Disney's Winnie the Pooh KIDS, March 22 – April 7, 2013; and all your favorite Dr. Seuss characters in Seussical, Jr., April 26 – May 12, 2013.

The season kicks off with a new adaptation of Mark Twain's beloved novel The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, bringing this coming-of-age story to life on stage. Tom, his best friend Huckleberry Finn and sweetheart Becky Thatcher find themselves in many raucous adventures, including late-night trips to the graveyard, exploring dark, mysterious caves, and hunting for buried treasure. Join the mischievous crew in this thrilling, big-hearted adventure that is sure to stir the imaginations of the young and young at heart.

Bring in the holidays with Casa Mañana's holiday musical celebration 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. With her daddy off to war, Molly is having trouble finding her Christmas spirit. Determined to make it a Christmas to remember, Molly's mother takes her on a magical treasure hunt where they encounter dancing elves, Frosty the Snowman and Santa Claus himself! Featuring a score of beloved Christmas songs such as 'It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas," "The First Noel' and 'White Christmas,' 'Twas the Night Before Christmas is a yuletide spectacular destined to become a Fort Worth holiday tradition!

Casa Mañana invites you to let down your hair in a charming new musical, Rapunzel! Rapunzel! A Very Hairy Fairy Tale. Join long-haired Rapunzel and a magical cast of characters including an evil enchantress, a witty spell-bound dragon and a handsome suitor on a quest to find his purpose in life. This twist of the classic fairy tale is sure to delight princes and princesses of all ages.

Welcome to the Hundred Acre Wood, where Winnie the Pooh is once again in search of honey. His journey soon becomes a quest to save Christopher Robin. During the adventure Pooh and his pals Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit and Owl learn about teamwork, friendship and sharing snacks! Don't miss Disney's Winnie the Pooh KIDS, a musical adventure based on the beloved characters of A. A. Milne and Disney.

All of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters come to life in Seussical Jr., including Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz and Jojo, a little boy with a big imagination.
