Casa Mañana's critically-acclaimed Apprentice Program presents the Tony Award-winning musical Parade at Casa Mañana Theatre, July 27 – 29. Parade features a Tony Award-winning book and lyrics by Alfred Uhry, writer of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Driving Miss Daisy, and Jason Robert Brown.

Parade offers a poignant portrayal of hope, love and loyalty against a frightening and unforgettable pageant of prejudice. Parade is based on the true story of the trial of Leo Frank, a Brooklyn-raised Jewish man accused of murder in turn-of-the-century Georgia. This Broadway musical is performed entirely by students.

Cast includes: Brandon Whitley as "Leo Frank," Katie Porterfield as "Lucille Frank," Avery Presson as" Mary Phagan," James Sanders as "Young Soldier / Governor John Slaton," Charlie Ray as "Frankie Epps," Rashaun Sibley as "Jim Conley," with Myles Phillips as "Newt Lee / Riley," Justin Duncan as "Old Soldier / Hugh Dorsey," Addie Presson as "Mrs. Phagan," Jack Bristol as "Judge Roan," Michael Pandolfo as "Britt Craig" and Olivia Morrow-Payne as "Minnie."

Additional cast members include: Kylie Arnold, Megan Broussard, Macy Crowe, Molly Franco, Marih Gresham, Hayden Hart, Ellie Hertel, Addie Morales, Anna Peña, Cooper Rodgers, Clay Slee, Caitlin Turnage, Margaret Vogel, Beaven Waller and Lauren Weik.

This is the third annual production from Casa Mañana's Apprentice Program. Les Misérables: School Edition, the program's musical the inaugural year, was hailed by theatre critic Gary Cogil as "a musical miracle." The program is for students ages 14 through 19 with exceptional theatrical skills.
Parade is directed by Joe Sturgeon, Casa Mañana's Director of Theatre for Youth, and choreographed by Jeremy Dumont. Sheilah Walker is the Music Director and Tammy Spencer is the Costume Designer.

Casa Mañana's production of Parade is presented for a limited engagement at Casa Mañana Theatre. Performance dates are Friday, July 27 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, July 28 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, July 29 at 2:00 p.m.
