The Katy Visual & Performing Arts Center's (KVPAC) Company, proudly presents Disney's Beauty and the Beast.  Come see the magic revealed in this moving musical adaptation inspired by the Academy Award winning animated feature with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Howard Asan and Tim Rice.  This beloved story includes favorite musical numbers ‘Be Our Guest', ‘Human Again'
and ‘Beauty and the Beast'.  Directed by Amy Barrineau, this production features Adam Turner as the Beast.  Adam, doing double duty for this show as the choreographer, was previously seen in Encore Player's production of Something's Afoot last fall.

KVPAC Compnay is comprised of talented students, ages 8-18 that audition each year to become part of the premier acting troupe.  Many students are part of the Company family for many years.  Carolyn Lacy, a Cinco Ranch senior, portrays Belle. This marks her final Company production after 4 years as a Company Member.  Some of Carolyn's previous roles include Lucy in You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, Beth Cratchit in Bah, Humbug!, and Mary Collins in Give My Regards to Broadway.   She also portrayed Shelby in Steel Magnolias, KVPAC's adult community theatre production.   Upon graduation, Carolyn intends to continue her theatre studies in college.

With magical costumes designed by Kim Stanfield, assisted by Lisa Burt, and Set design by Warren Cochran, this production is sure to please.  Tira Burford brings the musical story alive as the vocal
coach.  KVPAC's Company Crew, students age 13-18 studying theatre tech, will serve as the technical crew for the production, under the guidance of Cody Swiger, Company Crew Manager.

Performances are Friday, April 3rd at 7:00pm and Saturday, April 4th at 2:00pm and 7:00pm.  Tickets are $7/adults and $5/children under 12 and can be purchased on-line at www.KVPAC.org.  KVPAC Members receive free admission to the matinee performance while ticket supplies last
(call 281-829-ARTS for Member reservations).  KVPAC is located at 2501 S Mason Rd., #290, Katy, TX 77450, in the Southwest Equestrian Center complex.
