STAGE TUBE: Preview Released for WaterTower's HOMEMADE FUSION

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin today announced a special Cabaret evening of Homemade Fusion, a concert of songs by Michael Kooman and Christopher Dimond. Homemade Fusion will be presented at WaterTower Theatre Friday, August 12 and 19 following the performance of Little Shop of Horrors, in association with Greyman Theatre Company. The performances will take place in the Addison Theatre Centre's upper lobby performance space at 10:30 pm. Admission is free. A cash bar will be available for both performances. Catch a preview in the video below!

This series of musical snapshots attempts to make sense of an increasingly senseless world. Featuring the Kooman & Dimond favorites "Random Black Girl," "Can't I Just Be," and "The Temp & the Receptionist," Homemade Fusion is a tale of love, loss, and candy bars.

The performances will feature the talents of Traci Lee (WaterTower Theatre's Little Shop of Horrors, Dallas Theater Center's Cabaret), Matt Tolbert (WaterTower Theatre's Spring Awakening, Lieutenant of Inishmore), Rachel Brown (Casa Mañana's Evita, Greyman's Dani Girl), Joshua Gonzales (WaterTower's Spring Awakening, Greyman's Dani Girl), Adam Garst (WaterTower Theatre's Spring Awakening, Baylor University's Urinetown), Sarah Smith (Baylor University's Thoroughly Modern Millie, Gypsy), Hannah Brake (Baylor University's Gypsy, Millie), and Andrew Dilday (Baylor University's Millie, Drowsy Chaperone). Musical Direction and accompaniment is by Mark Mullino.

Homemade Fusion is a Dallas release party/concert for the album Out of Our Heads: The Music of Kooman & Dimond, which is now available on iTunes.

Out of Our Heads is a compilation of self-contained songs that blur the lines between musical theater and pop. Featuring songs and characters that run the gamut from the absurd to the sublime, the album takes listeners on a journey that is equal parts hilarity and heartbreak. Michael Kooman (music) and Christopher Dimond (book and lyrics) are the authors of the musicals Dani Girl, which has been workshopped and developed at the Kennedy Center, American Conservatory Theatre, Cherry Lane Theatre, the ASCAP/Disney Musical Theater Workshop, and WaterTower Theatre's Out of the Loop Fringe Festival; Golden Gate (Williamstown Theatre Festival); Homemade Fusion (London's Ambassadors Theater); and the family-friendly Christmas musical Junior Claus.

About Greyman Theatre Company
Greyman Theatre Company, named after the ghost that makes his home at Baylor University's theatrical venues, was created in 2010 by Baylor Theatre students and functions under the leadership of Artistic Director Matt Tolbert and Managing Director Joshua Gonzales. The mission of Greyman is to operate as a launching platform for theatrical artists, from writers to actors to directors to designers, to showcase their works. Contemporary works play a vital role in reflecting society's views and questions about the life of the time and Greyman serves to document and preserve that history.
