One of America's foremost comediennes, Lily Tomlin continues to venture across an ever-widening range of media as a star in television, theater, motion pictures, animation and video. Lily grew up in a working-class neighborhood on the outskirts of one of Detroit's most affluent areas. She made her television debut in 1966 on The Garry Moore Show and joined the cast of Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In in 1969. Her feature films include Nashville, A Prairie Home Companion, I Heart Huckabees, Big Business, All Of Me, The Incredible Shrinking Woman and 9 to 5. Lily has received numerous awards throughout her career, including two Tony Awards, two Emmies, a Cable Ace Award, a Drama Desk Award, the New York Drama Critic's Special Award and the Outer Circle Critics Award. In the fall of 2003, she received the prestigious Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.
