Luke Longacre, Brandon J. Murphy and More Set for Amphibian's THE BIBLE: THE COMPLETE WORD OF GOD (ABRIDGED)

(5/17/2013) - Amphibian Stage Productions today announced casting for its third main stage production of the 2013 season, The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged) by Adam Long, Reed Martin, and Austin Tichenor. Luke Longacre, Brandon J. Murphy, and Scott Zenreich will star in this irreverent comedy, running Thursday, July 11 through Sunday, August 11 at Amphibian's theater at 120 S. Main Street. Jay Duffer will direct the production.

Sarah Marie Dickerson, Joshua Sherman and More Set for Artes de la Rosa's IN THE HEIGHTS, Beg. Tonight

(5/17/2013) - Artes de la Rosa presents the Fort Worth Premiere of the Tony award winning musical, In the Heights. Directed by artistic director Adam Adolfo, the Lin Manuel Miranda musical will run tonight, May 17 - June 9 at The Rose Marine Theatre. Previously announced star, Matthew Ransdell, who will play Usnavi, will be joined by costars Sarah Marie Dickerson as Vanessa, Joshua Sherman as Benny, and Lorens Portalatin as Nina. Also starring as Grafitti Pete is Michael Anthony Sylvester and Rashaun Sibley as Sonny, both of whom are making their Artes de la Rosa debut.

Rover Dramawerks Announces WONDER OF THE WORLD, Beginning 5/23

(5/16/2013) - Rover Dramawerks will present the hilariously quirky comedy Wonder of the World by David Lindsay-Abaire at the Cox Building Playhouse, 1517 H Avenue in Plano. Performances are May 23 through June 15, with shows on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., with an additional matinee performance on Saturday, June 1 at 2:00 p.m.

Theater on the Lake Announces 61st Season

(5/15/2013) - The Chicago Park District's Theater on the Lake: The Chicago Summer Theater Festival kicks off its 61st anniversary with a USO dance before the first of eight encore presentations from artistically diverse Chicago theater companies June 12 - Aug. 11, 2013. Each production will be performed for five evenings only at the theater at Fullerton Avenue and Lake Shore Drive.
