Joseph Calleja to Celebrate U.S. Album Release at Le Poisson Rouge, 10/24

Following chart-topping debuts in the U.K. and Germany, The Maltese Tenor, Joseph Calleja's third solo album for Decca Classics, will be released in the U.S. on Monday, October 24. To coincide with the release, Joseph Calleja will appear that same evening in concert at New York City's hip downtown club Le Poisson Rouge at 7:30pm.

Fort Worth Opera (FWOpera) will kick off its 66th season and its sixth Festival with Puccini's blockbuster Tosca, followed by Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro.

Opera San José presents Puccini's timeless classic La bohème. A story of young love set against the impoverished but joyous lifestyle of 19th-century bohemian Paris, La bohème is Puccini's most beloved opera and for many the quintessential opera. Eight performances are scheduled from April 23 through May 8 at the California Theatre, 345 South First Street in downtown San José.

Seattle Opera today announced its captivating 2011/12 season, featuring an American treasure, the greatest French opera, the company premiere of a work by Verdi, one of opera's fundamental love stories, and a beloved Puccini tragedy. The season opens with Porgy and Bess in July, followed by Carmen in the fall and Attila, Orphée et Eurydice, and Madama Butterfly in 2012.

Opera San José continues its 27th Season with Giacomo Puccini's powerfully dramatic opera, Tosca. The story of a popular opera diva brought down by the chief of Rome's secret police, Tosca always leaves its audiences startled and breathless by the searing beauty of Puccini's melodies.
