IFC's hilarious series COMEDY BANG! BANG! kicks off its second season on July 12. Today, the network is offering fans a chance to watch one of the new episodes several weeks ahead of its debut.

The second season of Comedy Bang! Bang! kicks off on Friday, July 12 at 10PM ET/PT with 20 all new episodes and a robust line-up of famous faces. The first ten episodes will air from July 12 - September 13, followed by a short fall hiatus before picking back up on Friday, October 18 for ten more episodes. Host Scott Aukerman (co-creator/director/producer, Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis; writer/performer, Mr. Show) and musical cohort Reggie Watts (Conan, Reggie Watts: A Live At Central Park, Jash.com) both return to Comedy Bang! Bang! with their clever take on the well-known format of a late night talk show.

According to Darkhorizons.com, Paul Reubens confirmed at at Comic Con yesterday that he is currently working with Judd Apatow's production company to crate a new Pee Wee Herman movie. Reubens and Paul Rust have written the script, but there is still no word on who will direct the project.

(OTCQB: DISK) has acquired the home entertainment rights to THE PEE-WEE HERMAN SHOW ON BROADWAY and will be releasing it on Blu-rayTM and DVD in the fall in honor of the 25th Anniversary of Pee-wee's Playhouse. You were sorely missed,' and the New York Post noted, 'The audience screams for joy!' The announcement was made by Image Entertainment's Chief Acquisition Officer, Bill Bromiley.

The show was filmed Jan. 6 for a HBO Special to air later this year. Debuting in 2011, the HBO presentation THE PEE-WEE HERMAN SHOW ON BROADWAY will shoot at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre New York this January, immediately following the conclusion of its exclusive Broadway engagement, running through Jan. 2.

Back in the days of Henry Miller, it was one of the great Broadway traditions for him and other men of the theatre to name playhouses for themselves.  I won't discount that perhaps some ego-stroking was involved, but it was also a shrewd business move.  The popular actor/producer was telling the public that even if he wasn't appearing in the house's current offering, the production arrived with his seal of approval.  This wasn't just some play paying money to rent his space; Henry Miller believed this to be quality theatre.
