BAX is has announced its Winter Drag Show featuring participants from Kelindah Schuster aka Theydy Bedbug's class, “Drag Performance: Between and Beyond Gender.” This culminating showcase will feature 15 original performance pieces by emerging experimental drag artists who subvert both gender and genre.

Kaatsbaan Cultural Park is pleased to announce new leadership appointments effective this month. Tricia Reed will be Kaatsbaaan's Managing Director, effective October 17; Adam Weinert will join as Artistic Associate, also beginning October 17; and Paloma Herrera will be Artistic Director for Kaatsbaan Ballet Intensive 2023, effective immediately, with Kevin McKenzie stepping into the role of Artistic Advisor.

“Joymaker” is dedicated to Aaron’s late Grandmother, who was an incredibly talented artist. She was always encouraging of his pursuit in music, and proved that great art could come from anywhere. As soon as he started recording, Aaron knew he wanted to use one of her paintings as the album cover.

Austrian violist Thomas Riebl will be performing a rare US concert as part of the Walter W. Naumburg Foundation's distinguished series featuring past winners, Naumburg Looks Back, on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 7:30pm in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. This concert celebrates the 40th anniversary of Mr. Riebl's winning of the first-ever Naumburg Viola Award in 1982.

651 ARTS Announces New Executive Director Toya Lillard

651 ARTS - Brooklyn's premier organization for the African Diasporic performing arts - today named Toya Lillard as the renowned institution's Executive Director. Lillard, who initially joined 651 as Interim Executive Director in May of this year, was appointed in a more permanent capacity by the organization's Board of Trustees to a three-year term in the role.
Emily Drossell and George Luton's ALICE Premieres at The Tank NYC

ALICE, a new operetta, will make its NYC premiere at The Tank August 11th - 14th. The work features a libretto and direction by Emily Drossell, an original score and music direction by George Luton, and choreography by Logan Pitts. ALICE also features the talents of Bianca Barragan, Michael Cagnetta, and Sami Hodes.
