Watertower Theatre to Extend SMOKEY JOE'S CAFE Revue Through 8/19


Terry Martin, producing artistic director of WaterTower Theatre, today announced an extension of SMOKEY JOE'S CAFE, which is now playing. The musical revue will be extended for one week through Sun., Aug. 19 with the addition of five performances: Wed., Aug. 15 at 7:30PM, Thurs., Aug. 16 at 7:30PM, Fri., Aug. 17 at 8PM, Sat., Aug. 18 at 8PM and Sun., Aug. 19 at 2PM.

WaterTower Theatre today announced casting details for Smokey Joe's Cafe which opens Monday, July 23, 2012. The ensemble cast includes Steve Barcus, Feleceia Benton, Chimberly Carter Byrom, Walter Cunningham, Maurice Johnson, Laura Lites, Calvin Roberts, Courtney Sikora and Akron Watson.

The Column Awards, a 501(c)3 nonprofit honoring excellence in theater in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, presented its 11th annual awards last night in Carpenter Hall at the Irving Arts Center. Uptown Players and Plaza Theatre Company tied for most wins with 10 each. In all, 17 theaters companies shared 62 awards, divided between Equity and non-Equity productions.
