The University of Nebraska Omaha College of Communication, Fine Arts, and Media, The School of the Arts, and UNO Theatre announce the first UNO Summer Musical Theatre Academy 2022.

The 20th anniversary of Flamenco Festival brings tradition and innovation paired with classic expressions and new fusions to Joe's Pub - a program and venue of The Public Theater.

Luis Salgado is quickly becoming known as an acclaimed director and choreographer. He has just returned from Germany where he served as Associate DirectorChoreographer for Cirque du Solieil's PARAMOUR. Two years ago he directed and choreographed the Helen Hayes winning musical IN THE HEIGHTS at the GALA Hispanic Theatre. He is now returning to GALA with his own version of FAME, The Musical.

After a successful adventure in Germany as associate director/choreographer for Cirque Du Soleil's Paramour, Luis Salgado returns to GALA Hispanic Theatre to helm the new latinx adaptation of the iconic FAME, The Musical. Conceived and developed by David De Silva, the shows Book writer is a cuban artista named Jose Fernandez.

Fame is said to be fleeting, but it isn't in London -- at least not where the musical is concerned.

Jose Fernandez Torres, better known as Tomatito, is a living legend and one of today's most-admired flamenco guitarists. Known for his mastery of traditional rhythms, his classic work with singer Camaron del la Isla, and his pioneering efforts in establishing Nuevo flamenco by augmenting traditional flamenco with music influenced by classical, jazz, blues, rock, pop, bossa-nova, tango, and fado, makes his first City of Los Angeles appearance with his sextet on Friday, October 21 at 8:00 p.m. at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre.

MTV2 and Major League Baseball (MLB) today announced that hip hop icons Sway and Fat Joe, as well as 'Girl Code' and 'Guy Code' stars Chris Distefano and Melanie Iglesias, will host 'Off the Bat from the MLB Fan Cave,' a new series premiering in April on MTV2. 2013 World Series MVP David Ortiz of the Boston Red Sox is serving as an Executive Producer of the series throughout the season. Additionally, MLB All-Stars Robinson Cano of the Seattle Mariners, Adam Jones of the Baltimore Orioles and Craig Kimbrel of the Atlanta Braves, as well as 2013 Rookies of the Year Jose Fernandez of the Miami Marlins and Wil Myers of the Tampa Bay Rays, have signed on to serve as Executive Producers of individual 'Off the Bat' episodes.
